After the eviction of our camp we have faced many structural and personal problems. We had to see our friends go to jail and were target of police and state repression. Nevertheless we have decided that we want to continue supporting the needs and political struggles of migrants and refugees on the island. As many of our old supporters are leaving the island soon, we are looking for people that want to help building and creating a new structure together with our friends from Tsamakia beach.
The situation on the islands is still difficult. Many are trapped here and may be for the coming months. The conditions in the detention prison in Moria are horrible: People are lacking basic needs like shelter and food and are object of (police-)violence on a daily base. As almost all the NGOs have left the island or gone on „standby“, there’s few support
structures left, especially for those refusing to live in a prison or stand the conditions in Moria.
We want to create an alternative space to support the needs of the people stranded here and need creative minds to go on with NBK Lesvos. To have a start budget for this, we are also in need of financial support. If you want to support us financially, please use the following
